The ranking is based on a review of 83 competing bachelor degrees nationwide in its class of regionally accredited schools, for a total of 391 degrees, examining such factors as quality of instruction and affordability.

Columbia College's Online Campus offers superb value. The average cost of an online bachelor’s degree in business and management, according to's latest national survey, is $43,241. At about $25,200, Columbia College's cost is just over one half.

This isn’t the first time Columbia College has topped and other educational consumer review services' lists for academic quality and exceptional value. U.S. News & World Report named Columbia College one of America's best colleges for the fifth year in a row and among the top tier of America's best colleges. Princeton Review also singled out Columbia College as one of the best colleges in the Midwest in 2009, one of only 159 schools in a 12-state region to receive a "Best Midwestern College" designation. And last year named Columbia College's online MBA and online bachelor's degree in criminal justice in its top five best buys; the online bachelor's degrees in business, psychology and sociology in its top 10 best buys.

Columbia College also is consistently recognized as a leader in military-friendly education. In 2008, Military Advanced Education singled out the college from 2,000 institutions as a gold standard college for serving the educational needs of men, women, spouses and retirees who serve or have served our country.

Columbia College's Online Campus, founded nine years ago, has grown dramatically in enrollment. During spring semester 2009 alone, more than 13,000 students, many working adults and military servicemembers, were enrolled.
